Country Case Studies

TRANSrisk conducted its 2 day Mid-Project Workshop on 7^th & 8^th of March 2017, in Brussels. The workshop provided an opportunity for all partners to receive an update on project progress, and helped provide direction for the second half of the project.

TRANSrisk researchers Jenny Lieu, Luis Gonzales-Carrasco, Timothy Suljada, Matthew Halstead, Eise Spijker, and Annela Anger-Kraavi, have published the article "The Times They Are a-Changin' - Positive and Negative Impacts of Low-Emission Transitions in Livestock Farming, the Energy Sector, and Cities", in JIQ Magazine vol. 22, no. 4.

TRANSrisk partners JIN Climate and Sustainability and Stockholm Environment Institute have published the article "Biogas development in Indonesia: household scale - Evaluation of Indonesian transition pathways in biogas utilisation" in JIQ special on 30 November 2016.

TRANSrisk partners JIN and CE have published an article on the special issue of JIQ Magazine exclusively for the TRANSrisk side event "Assessing mitigation pathway risk and uncertainty: case studies in the Netherlands, Kenya and Chile" at COP22.

TRANSrisk partner JIN Climate and Sustainability has published the article "Solar PV in the Netherlands: for the people or by the people?" in JIQ special on 17 November 2016.

TRANSrisk partner University of Graz (UniGraz) organised a stakeholder workshop regarding the decarbonisation of the Austrian steel sector, in November 2016, in Vienna, Austria.

The workshop's objectives were to discuss with stakeholders the desired futures for the steel and energy sectors in Austria and to formulate the relevant low-carbon transition pathways leading to these futures.

TRANSrisk held the free side event "Assessing mitigation pathway risk and uncertainty: case studies in the Netherlands, Kenya and Chile" side event at COP22 on Friday 18^th of November 2016.

TRANSrisk and Towards2030-dialogue co-organised the joint workshop "Towards a Low-Carbon European Union - The Case of Greece" at NTUA premises in Athens on the 25^th of October 2016.
