Researchers from TRANSrisk partners University of Graz (UniGraz), Institute for Structural Research (IBS), and Basque Centre for Climate Change (BC3) participated at the 6th World congress of Environmental and Resource Economists which took place on 25th - 29th of June in Gothenburg, Sweden.
More particularly, Jakob Mayer (UniGraz) presented his article "Macroeconomic implications of switching to process-emission-free iron and steel production in Europe" which is co-authored with Gabriel Bachner (UniGraz) and Karl Steininger (UniGraz). Also, Gabriel Bachner presented his article "The economy-wide effects of deep decarbonization and its uncertainties - The case of the European iron and steel industry" which is co-authored with Jakob Mayer, Annela Anger-Kraavi (CE), Karl Steininger and Alistair Smith (CE). Moreover, Jan Witajewski-Baltvilks (IBS) presented his article “Green Innovation and Economic Growth in a North-South Model” which is co-authored with Carolyn Fischer from Resources for the Future. Lastly, Jon Sampedro (BC3) presented his article “Health co-benefits from air pollution and mitigation costs of the Paris Agreement: a modelling study" which is co-authored with Anil Markandya (BC3), Steven Smith (Joint Global Change Research Institute), Rita Van Dingenen (Joint Research Centre), Cristina Pizarro-Irizar (BC3), Iñaki Arto (BC3) and Mikel Gonzalez-Eguino (BC3).
