TRANSrisk Case Studies Workshop in Brighton, 4-5 October 2016

TRANSrisk Case Studies Workshop took place on October 4^th and 5^th, 2016, at University of Sussex in Brighton, United Kingdom.

During the first day of the workshop, participants had the opportunity to get informed about the preliminary case studies outputs in several countries, namely Austria, Netherlands, Spain, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland, Kenya, China, India, Indonesia, Chile, UK, Canada and Greece. 

All the results presented were discussed and validated by the TRANSrisk Scientific Advisory Board Members. 

During the second day peer support of case studies & planning of the next steps were implemented. Small discussion groups discussed among others the development of pathways in case studies and quantitative and qualitative approaches. The workshop continued with comparisons across country case studies and discussion regarding the submission of the respective report.

The UK case study explored the low-carbon electricity generation options that are available in UK to reduce CO₂ emissions, while considering UK’s economic, political, social and environmental priorities. More here.
