Kenya Case Study

TRANSrisk partner SEI participated in the Energy for Society: 1^st International Conference on Energy Research & Social Science held on 2 - 5 April 2017, in Melia Sitges, Spain.

TRANSrisk results on agency and power in energy transitions in Kenya and Indonesia were promoted through a presentation along with a relevant paper.

TRANSrisk organised the panel session "Rethinking Risk and Transition Pathways" in the "Energy for Society: 1^st International Conference on Energy Research & Social Science" ESA RN12 Environment and Society Midterm Conference, which was held on 2-5 April 2017, at Melia Sitges in Spain.

TRANSrisk researchers Jenny Lieu, Luis Gonzales-Carrasco, Timothy Suljada, Matthew Halstead, Eise Spijker, and Annela Anger-Kraavi, have published the article "The Times They Are a-Changin' - Positive and Negative Impacts of Low-Emission Transitions in Livestock Farming, the Energy Sector, and Cities", in JIQ Magazine vol. 22, no. 4.

TRANSrisk held the free side event "Assessing mitigation pathway risk and uncertainty: case studies in the Netherlands, Kenya and Chile" side event at COP22 on Friday 18^th of November 2016.
