Canada Case Study

TRANSrisk organised an interdisciplinary training session for risk and uncertainties for the Graduate Collage of the University of Calgary on 13^th of March 2018.

The Graduate College at the University of Calgary, along with TRANSrisk partner Science Technology Policy Research, University of Sussex (SPRU) and The Graduate Students' Association co-organised the stakeholder workshop entitled "Creating a Common Language for Low-carbon futures in Alberta", on 12^th of March within the framework of the TRANSrisk case study in Canada.

TRANSrisk partner Science Technology Policy Research, University of Sussex (SPRU) hosted the stakeholder participatory session "Consensus Building in Engagement Processes for reducing risks in developing sustainable pathways: community interests as core elements of engagement", on 10^th of March within the framework of the 3^rd annual Environmental Gathering: Create the Future, organised by the Alberta Ecotrust.

With a combined dissemination and training mission, Jon Sampedro and Dirk-Jan van de Ven from the Basque Centre for Climate Change (BC3) participated in the GCAM Community Modelling meeting at the Joint Global Change Research Institute in Maryland.

TRANSrisk organised the side-events "Implementing NDCs: Diversity of Actors and Actions" and "The future of nuclear, oils sands and renewables: risky energy pathways?" at COP23, Bonn, Germany
