TRANSrisk partner NTUA participated in DIA-CORE Final Conference, held on 30 May 2016 in Brussels, Belgium, and had the opportunity to present TRANSrisk and its expected outcomes.
DIA-CORE is an EU IEE initiative, started in April 2013, which intends to ensure a continuous assessment of the existing policy mechanisms and to establish a fruitful stakeholder dialogue on future policy needs for renewable electricity (RES-E), heating & cooling (RES-H), and transport (RES-T).
The conference presented the final results of DIA-CORE, with an emphasis on financing renewables & risk exposure and how this relates to power market design. Moreover, the options for a policy suited to deliver 20% renewables by 2020 and 27% renewables by 2030 were discussed.
