TRANSrisk participated in the 19th Österreichischer Klimatag which took place on 23-25 April 2018, in Salzburg, Austria. The conference provided an overview of current Austrian research activities in the areas of climate change, impacts, adaptation and prevention, as well as to enable stakeholders interested in climate change to meet and exchange expertise and perceptions.
Gabriel Bachner and Jakob Mayer (UniGraz) presented the papers “The economy-wide effects of deep decarbonization and its uncertainties - The case of the European iron and steel industry” and “Macroeconomic implications of switching to process-emission-free iron and steel production in Europe” respectively. The papers present outcomes from the TRANSrisk case study in Austria.
