TRANSrisk Commentaries Issue 5: "Overcoming barriers to sustainable charcoal in Kenya", October 2018

The 5^th issue of TRANSrisk commentaries entitled "Overcoming barriers to sustainable charcoal in Kenya" has been published.

The issue is co-authored by Oliver Johnson (SEI), Hannah Wanjiru (SEI), Richard Taylor (SEI) and Francis Johnson (SEI). It examines the barriers in achieving more sustainable charcoal production and use. It is based on seven semi-structured interviews and targeted discussions during two workshops with stakeholders in the charcoal sector, as well as field observations and a review of documents, and showcases results of the TRANSrisk case study in Kenya.
