SET-Plan workshop, 12 July 2018, Athens, Greece

On the initiative of the Directorate-General for Energy of the European Commission, the Institute of Zero Energy Buildings (INZEB) organized a workshop on the presentation of the Strategic Energy Technology Plan (SET-Plan). The event was held on Thursday 12 July 2018 at the premises of the European Parliament Office in Athens, Greece.

The workshop was aimed at all organizations with an interest in the SET-Plan, while key stakeholders from the public and private sectors were invited (Ministry of Environment and Energy, Academia, Researchers and Research Institutions, R&D labs etc).

Mrs Andy Kontoudakis was the speaker appointed by DG Energy, who presented the SET-Plan and participated in a discussion with the participants. Key topics of the presentation were the following:

  • Cooperation within Europe in Clean Energy
  • SET-Plan Governance: Actors directly involved in the target setting process
  • SET-Plan actions under the Energy Union
  • Horizon 2020 contribution to the SET-Plan

Assist. Prof. Haris Doukas and Dr. Chara Karakosta from TRANSrisk partners NTUA and UPRC-TEESLab respectively participated in the event in order to promote TRANSrisk's outcomes related to the energy and climate change policymaking.

The event was covered by the TV programme "ECO NEWS" of the Greek channel "SKAI", where also Assist. Prof. Haris Doukas was interviewed and spoke about the importance of SET-Plan.
