Jon Sampedro and Dirk-Jan van de Ven from the Basque Centre for Climate Change (BC3) participated in the GCAM Community Modelling meeting which was organised by the developers of the Global Change Assessment Model. Jon and Dirk-Jan disseminated the TRANSrisk outputs from deliverable 4.4 about the co-benefits and adverse side-effects of climate change mitigations pathways. Specifically, a poster on the co-benefits for health was presented by Jon and another one on the adverse side-effects on land use by Dirk-Jan.
The purpose of the rest of the meeting was to improve the skills and flexibility of GCAM users and to present the new version of the model. This new version of GCAM will be used in the Canadian case study in D3.2 and the Eastern African case study in D6.4.
